Grow cat palm in indirect bright light. Don’t place cat palms in direct sunlight. It likes to be watered regularly to have moist, but not soggy soil all the time. It also likes humidity, boost humidity by placing it in humid rooms, placing a small humidifier nearby, or grouping it near other plants. Fertilize the cat palms a few times a year, in spring and summer, to keep them healthy. Use a general-purpose fertilizer labeled for houseplant use. Follow the directions on the fertilizer packaging. Re-pot your palm when it becomes root-bound. A well-draining potting soil mixture is recommended when re-potting. In summer, it can be grown outdoors in a high light (but not full sun) location.
